Achilles tyres are sponsoring the Donut King Racing Team in this years Commodore Cup national series. Round two of the series was at the iconic Mt Panorama circuit, Bathurst. Adam Beechey and Dean Crosswell teamed up to finish third overall. You can find pic's of the event here. We'll keep you up to date as the series progresses...

Achilles tyres have been named as the major sponsor of this years Australian Suzuki Swift series. All of the Swifts will be fitted with the awesome Achilles 123 Racing tyre which has already impressed during initial testing. We're pleased to report that YHI Brisbane is now fully operational again with all truck runs returning to normal from Monday 14th February. There's still a lot of work to be done but this will not affect customer ordering or deliveries.

As the epic cleanup continues across Queensland we have some news for YHI Queensland customers regarding operations out of Brisbane. YHI Queensland are now trading with phones and computers out of their temporary office. There is currently only one metro run per day and all country truck runs are as normal which is great news. YHI Qld customers can phone the main line on (07) 3379 7188 for all enquiries and orders. All orders through the wheeldemon stock control panel will be processed as normal. Thanks to our customers for their continued help and support!

The prestigious European iF product design award for 2011 has been awarded to the N8000 tyre pattern designed by Korean manufacturer, Nexen. The N8000 UHP won the award against a field of 2,756 products from 1,121 registered participants in 43 countries. John Bosco Kim, Managing Director of Nexen Tyre Europe, hailed the win of the iF product design award in a statement. "For us, design prizes are among our most important distinctions. Design does not just play a role in the appearance of tyres; the profile is the most important element in the functionality of a tyre. This prize from an international jury shows that Nexen is also among the leading manufacturers when it comes to research and development. For us, the iF design award 2011 is above all a commitment and incentive to further improve our products." Nexen exports to more than 120 countries worldwide.
